No they're not, but if they've been buying RIM, the RIM rep should understand the customer's needs very well indeed if he/she is any good. So they are best to be able to explain how or why a switch or migration to, say, Apple might be good for them. The customers are not (normally) stupid, but the ex-RIM person should be able position Apple in in its best possible light, knowing what the customer's needs are.
