Your LCD is absolutely fine.It's not broken but sadly you have broken the 'Display IC'.Now go to any mobile repairing shop and ask them if they have a blackberry bold 9700 display ic.And that is it.Your done mate

Another thing 'display IC' is far more cheaper then the LCD screen hence some shopkeepers try and lie to their customers so that they pay them the heavy price of lcd.So yeah go out and get a display Ic for it.They might tell you 'no,no it's not that'but it is a display ic fault since you dropped the fone.
