Before you piss on an OS and offer a completely unfounded claim as you have should check more carefully to ensure that the problem is in fact what you claim.
Well, it displayed "SIM not allowed:3" and after searching for this the only consistant thing I saw on this site and several others were that the people that saw this error in the past were running a beta. I hope it was just a case of the SIM expiring (it dates back to November 2008 when I got a pearl flip). I have changed over to the original SIM that came with my 9780 and hope it doesn't fry.
