Default BBSAK won't connect

(9650 with OS 6.0.0.524, Windows 7 32-bit) BBSAK stopped connecting about a month and a half ago, when I upgraded from version 1.8 to 1.9.11.

BBDM connects and syncs just fine (latest version), computer recognizes and connects to the BB as soon as I plug it in via USB.

I've tried completely uninstalling BBSAK (including removing registry keys), rebooting and reinstalling, with no luck. Followed the (limited) FAQs on BBSAK's website with no luck. Posted on their recommended site (PPCGeeks.com I think) with no answer.

So...any suggestions, or a link to BBSAK V1.8?
