Thanks both for your help, but nothing worked and tried for a few days, so took it into the shop, who said there was a fault with the phone, so it's gone back to Blackberry to be fixed! They tried to do a full reset (wipe the phone completely) and didn't work, so luckily I had backed everything up before we went in! Only trouble now is, my son has a cheap Samsung as a courtesy phone, so no Facebook or Twitter apps on it!
