I just finished a game with a high score of 75,473. Lost on level 96. It's all about strategy - use every clock with the biggest word possible, and spell words with as many of the vegetables as possible for bonus points.

My biggest word is 220 and I play on a Torch. It's a major downer that you can't see a world ranking with the score.
