I have had the exact same thing happen to my 9900 when I am charging from certain ports (USB, Wall Charger, etc...) I disconnect and reboot my phone, and connect it again. Never had the issue present itself after a battery pull.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the device itself. I have also had it after knocking my 9900 from the table, but the charger cable is still connected. I would not worry too much about it.
