OK, here's the issue. I have an unlocked BB9700 that I use with a B mobile sim card (from Trinidad). Got the BB service turned on while I was there, everything was fine. Came back to the states, everything still ok roaming on AT&Ts network. BBM would work when I was on wifi, which I expected. I updated the dvice software from to version 6.0 Bundle 2949. After the update, phone works, can send and receive texts, can browse the internet on wifi. However, I cannot send or receive any BBM messages; I tried to register the BB, but nothing happens. I tried calling b mobile in Trinidad, but they were of no help. I'm wondering if because I am roaming if that is the reason that I am unable to register the phone - I would hate to think that I have to send the phone back to Trinidad to have it registered there. Any suggestions or workarounds welcomed!
