| | BESx logs not current - flush logs more frequent ?

I had some minor problems with analready running BESx installation - address book not synching for one user.
When I examinded the logs, they all were from a date, about 8hrs back in time. From you logs you would think, the Services were not running, but they did.
When I restarted the BES services, the logs were flushed to the disk, and I could see, that there has been activity in those missing hours.
My own BES (enterprise 5.0.3) always has logs which are current, so I guess this is rather a problem of the OS the Server is running on.
My installation runs on a server 2003, the one where the logs are not flushed is a Server 2008 (not R2).
Does anyone know, if this is normal, or, how can the BES be told to flush the logs more frequent to disk (if there is an activation, it would be nice to watch what happens and not have to restart the services to see whats going on) ?
