Default BB Bold 9900 Will Not Connect to Wifi

Hi, all. I recently got my friend's BlackBerry as a gift, since she switched to an iPhone.

Before we did the security wipe to remove all of her information from the phone, it was able to connect to the wifi in my home with absolutely zero issues. After the wipe, however, when I attempted to reconnect to the same wifi, it wouldn't work. Data services were ON, but it just kept saying it was unable to retrieve an IP address.

Figuring I could work around it and just input my IP and DNS items manually, I did everything manually instead, and provided the phone with my IP address and DNS numbers. It said it connected, but refused to actually use the router when I tried to use the browser or BlackBerry App World.

I unplugged my router and deleted the saved information about the wifi address from my BlackBerry, then plugged it back in, let it reboot, and attempted to connect again. The BlackBerry is still unable to locate an IP automatically, and even after providing it with all IP and DNS information, it still won't make use of the router again.

Any help you could give would be really, really appreciated.
