I am having serious trouble activating a device OTA. I get the notorious "Still Handled by Desktop" message in MAGT log but I do not get the "GetDeviceId() did not return a PIN" message. In fact, the BESX 5.0.3 (for Exchange) server shows the correct PIN associated with the account, trouble is that the device throws the connection attempt timed out error and the user remains in "Initializing" state on the server.
I have double checked activation readiness on BESC and the PIN is provisionable.
I did a security wipe on the phone (BB9800).
I checked that the activation email with ETP.DAT arrives in the user's inbox.
Am I correct to suspect that the BESX server is having trouble finding the message in the INBOX? "Still handled by Desktop" means I am still waiting for that email to arrive? If so, how come the server knows the device's PIN?
It is very much possible that user has a Desktop Manager installed, I have no control over that. It probably holds all his backups so unistalling that is out of question.
Any advice would be most welcome.
