Default BB 9330 lost pictures

Took 3 (irreplaceable) pictures Saturday on phone. They were there on Sunday.
On Monday, phone froze up and I removed battery to reboot. After restarting, pictures are gone.
Found the following instructions to try to retrieve, but cannot find the settings stated below.
1. Go to Options >> Media Card
(some themes or BlackBerrys may call this "Settings >> Media Card")
2. Check the following settings (if they are not listed this way, then change to reflect the following:
a) Media Card Support: On
b) Mass Storage Mode Support: On
c) Auto Enable Mass Storage: Yes
3. Save the settings and exit
NOw, connect your BlackBerry to the PC via the USB cable and see if you can view the images from your PC, the Media Card will appear in My Computer as usually drive e, f, or g as "BlackBerry" or "Removable Drive".

I can go to Options but there is no "Media Card".
There is a "Storage" and in there is "Compression" which is "enabled".
and "Media Card Support" which is checkmarked.
But no "Mass Storage Mode Support" nor any "Auto Enable Mass Storage".

Any suggestions?
Do I need to have these settings set like this before I try connecting the phone to the PC and looked for a file with these pictures?
Thanks for any help.
