Thanks but neither links are of any help. None of the messages reported resemble the message I receive. In my case, when the error occurs, the progress window dims when displaying "Getting status information from Blackberry Address Book Read 663 records". Upon dimming, an OS window pops up reporting that "Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working". The details are as follows:

I've turned on detailed logs and extracted the details relating to the last couple of records right up to when the end of the log, deleted the portions revealing contact info, and attached that to this post. I'm not sure if any of this helps but would certainly be grateful for any further suggestions.

I've tried the same thing a few times and noticed that the problem doesn't occur at the same record all the time. I've noted that it stopped at record 654, 658 twice, and 659 the next few times after reporting above that it stopped at record 663.
