Do you have the data plan specifically for BlackBerrys on your line? Sounds like answer is no. That's the problem.
EDIT: Searching around, I see this apparently has nothing to do with not having a data plan. I didn't find a specifi fix. I would try the usual troubleshooting steps: hard reset, resend service books, clear the app world cache (alt-RST), delete app world and the re-install it. If none of those steps resolve the problem, last step would be call carrier's customer service.
