Deep uninstall of Desktop Manager v5.0.1.37 Please Login to Remove! I have a BB 9700 running OS v. 5.0.0.979. My computer(s) run Win 7 and BB Desktop Manager v. 5.0.1.37. Yes, both my BB OS and the Desktop Software are quite old, but I've tried updating to v. 6 and much prefer the versions that I have.
What is really ticking me off is that after every sync (first one each day) the DM insists on scanning for software updates and telling me what it thinks I need. From what I said above, you can imagine that I'm not about to let DM update things on its own!
I've read various threads on uninstalling/reinstalling the DM and have done so several times. Have also read about deleting the vendor.exe file and searching the cptr for hidden vendor files; have done that, with no joy.
It seems to me that there must be something in the Registry that is not being uninstalled. Anybody have some advice?
