Default 9500 Storm cannot connect, does not start up

Please Login to Remove!

My 9530 Storm first came up with error "507 reload software" and I followed some Googled advice to load new software, however now I can't carry on due to the fact that BB DTS refuses to connect to my phone to do the update. I've done the remove battery, connect USB, reinsert battery thing, but nothing seems to work. I get the the following screen below:
