I recently did a system upgrade on my BB 9700. Immediately afterwards I was informed that the media card need to be formatted. Which I did and was rewarded with the message Media Card Format Failed. By now I have tried two new SD cards with the same message when formatting on the BB. I formatted the two new cards successfully on my PC. But when they were inserted into the BB they requested formatting. I did this only to be rewarded with the final message of Media Card Format Failed.

I am beginning to suspect that the problem is either due to the system software upgrade OR the media card port has gone defective.

Any help will be appreciated.
