Can anyone advise if a telco can set the push frequency to its own advantage. I was recently scalded in a country where I was charged $0.20 for what appeared to be a push about 100 times per day for a goodly number of days. The odd thing is I did not get anywhere near 100 emails. I then went to another country for even more days and incurred about 30 $0.20 charges per day but again nowhere near 30 emails per day. I downloaded nothing (used my laptop instead) and used no apps as it was a second phone just for home contact. Was it a result of pushing or something else.
