Understand. The part I don't have the complete answer on is how just the OS version changes things with wifi. With my 9700, now, wifi works without a SIM on version 5, but not the latest version 6. And the service books are there in either case. And it isn't OS6 per se. the earlier T-Mobile version 6 works. I guess it is something along the lines of the enabler, but then why the relation to OS?
To the OP, if wifi was working and now it is not, and you check and find the wifi service books are there, then the answer for what happened is probably on the network side. And if you see the service books, it might be worth a try downgrading the OS to see what happens. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
