Default 8900 Curve not connecting to JVM during update

Hello, I'm having a problem, I update the device software in my Curve 8900 but after the middle of the updating the PC stay stopped for a long time at "Connecting to JVM" and after some minutes says "not possible to connect to JVM". After selecting several times "retry" without any success the only possibility is to abort. Disconnected from the PC the 8900 starts to load the software but always stops the progress bar at two third and stays there also for hours. What is possible to do? Do you think this can be an hardware failure? Where? Thanks!
