Default Re: Email, Outlook and Network Server

Outlook is a client on your PC. EMail comes from your email provider, a.k.a Internet Service Provider or ISP.

Using BIS, which I assume is what you have, RIM polls your email provider every 15 minutes and sends any mail it finds to your device. What you see is normal for the BB. Your email client, Outlook, must be set up to poll the server more often.

You must have "Leave Mail on Server" selected in your Outlook email set up for mail to be delivered to the device. It appears this has been done.

You do not have direct access to contacts and Calendar using BIS. You need to sync the BB and Outlook via Desktop Manager using the data cable that came with your device.

I suggest you read the user guide for your device as that is covered in that document.

Why do you say that you IT provider is not a professional?
