Try this below --it is a text copy of the linked page on the Cingular Link shown on the original post. If you actually go to that link it is shown more graphically and you will get further "sublinks" for various related subjects, including "page not found". Please postbback after you try some of this stuff.

Cingular Communication Manager 5.x
Cingular Connection Manager 4.x
Communication Manager 4.x
Novatel Mobilink Wireless Manager
Sony Ericsson Wireless Manager
Sierra Watcher


SYMPTOM:
Device has a connection, but is unable to browse the Internet.
Unable to pass data
Modem / Tethering
Accessing HTML


FIX:

Validate browser is set to automatically detect settings. Close all browser sessions and relaunch browser.
If using Cingular Communication Manager ONLY: Attempt to disable Internet Explorers manual proxy settings in Cingular Communication Manager.

Communication Manager 4.x
If still unable to access sites, access the Device Manager and verify that the device is showing "Enabled" under Network Adapters.
Close all browser sessions and relaunch browser.
NOTE: Otherwise Connection software will show that the customer is connected, but they will not obtain an IP address and will be unable to browse the web.
If using Cingular Communication Manager ONLY: If still unable to access sites, uninstall ByteMobile Acceleration Client:
Select Tools, scroll to and select Settings.
Select the Acceleration tab.
Select Uninstall.
A pop up box appears, "You will need to reboot the computer after this operation. Do you want to proceed?" Click OK.
Relaunch browser.
If using Cingular Communication Manager ONLY: If able to access sites, but experiencing issues with images, picture and/or page load speed verify settings in Cingular Communication Manager.

Communication Manager 4.x
If still unable to access sites type 170.35.236.77 address bar (an IP address for cingular.com). If IP address is resolved to web page, but typing www.cingular.com does not work, call Cingular Customer Care.
