Not able to adjust profiles and anytime a call or email came through it would be silent. We had to downgrade him to Rogers stock firmware after that.

I have no idea about this. I went through this process three times, once for each time I replaced my unit, and I did it exactly they way I detailed, and I have had zero issues. I wish I could be more helpful, sorry.
