In my upgrade, MDS remained the same as it was with BES 4.0. Reading over the documentation, it appears that it may not have been meant to be like this. Who knows what it'd do on a fresh installation...

It has installed the following services:

BlackBerry Alert
BlackBerry Attachment Service
BlackBerry Collaboration Service
BlackBerry Controller
BlackBerry Database Consistency Service
BlackBerry Dispatcher
BlackBerry Instant Messaging Connector
BlackBerry MDS Connection Service
BlackBerry Policy Service
BlackBerry Router
BlackBerry Synchronization Service

On the handheld, I've got the following Service Books:

Desktop [ALP]
Desktop [SYNC]
Desktop [CICAL]
Desktop [BrowserConfig]
Desktop [MDS]
Desktop [IPPP]
Desktop [BBIM]
Desktop [CMIME]
