Well, I've been using the Speck SkinTight for my 7100T for a while now - about 4-6 months, I can't remember exactly.

Anyway, like the above, I was real excited when I got it. It fit like a glove, seemed to provide a lot of protection, etc, etc. I was in love.

But now, after having been using it for many months, I'm a bit disappointed in the durability of it. Here's a few comments/critiques:

1. I got the clear one because I thought it looked cool. However, over time, it has turned dark/dirty. I haven't tried washing it yet, and may give that a shot, but I was surprised at how normal handling caused it to look "grimy" like that, when I take good care of my BBs. If I were to do it over again, I'd pick the black one.

2. The rubber has stretched out over time. The plastic screen cover insert no longer stays in place perfectly and moves around a lot. Frequently now (it didn't happen in the beginning - remember, this is after several months), when putting the 7100T in the belt clip, just the pressure of the top of the clip pressing down on the top of the gloved blackberry causes the screen protector to shift around and sometimes pop out.

3. The top clip of the belt-clip/holder thingy is not centered, but rather off-set to one side. This has caused more compression of the rubber on one side of the skintight case than the other, and over time, that side has become looser (most evident with the thin strip of rubber on the sides, by the screen).

4. If you are not real careful, dirt or small particles can easily find their way between the screen protector and the blackberry screen. Then...any slight shifting of the screen can rub these particles on your BB screen, causing scratches. This has happened to my 7100T, and as a result, I took the screen protector out of the case to prevent further scratches.

Here's a pic of the discoloration. Again, normal use, I work in an office, am never around unclean environments, etc. (Sorry for the pic quality, but I had to turn off the flash so you could see the difference between the plastic holster and the dirty rubber).

Here are two pictures showing how the thin strips of rubber stretch out over time. I couldn't use the plastic screen protector now even if I wanted to.

Just wanted to give my $0.02 on the case. I loved it for the first month or so. Then it was downhill. I'll be sticking to the leather pouch type cases from now on...I already have the RIM OEM Leather case from SPD, and I'll likely buy the open-top Fortte pouch as well.

Cheers.
