Can't Sync Calendar to Outlook 2003 -

Trying to sync my wife's new 8700c (never had a BlackBerry before) to her Outlook 2003 calendar via USB. Her company does not use a BES. Every time I try to sync, or export, I get up to appointment #83 of 522 and the kaboom! Desktop Manager shuts down.
So far, the only way I've been able to get her calendar on her BB is by syncing Outlook with her old Dell Axim and them "Importing" in Intellisync from the Axim.
Using Desktop Manager v4.1.0.8, handheld is running platform 2.0.0.120 and app version 4.1.0.284 (Bharti).
