Default Reply to PIN message problem

When I reply to a PIN message while reading the incoming PIN message, my Blackberry attempts to send my reply via email. Of course, the email system doesn't recognize the recipient's PIN as an email address, and I get a failure to send message indication. If I reply to the PIN message, by highlighting the sender's name, and select "PIN sendername" I can send a PIN reply. However, that reply doesn't have the subject line, and original message. I have only experienced this problem with one recipient, so I am not sure if it happens with everybody, or just that one contact. (I haven't exchanged PINs with anybody else lately.)

Can anyone explain what is going on? How do I fix it?
