The reason I'm starting this rumour is that the sign-in screen has changed. It's a whole new layout/colour scheme and it now says "Copyright 2006 Research In Motion Limited" whereas it used to be something like 2004-2005. Once you enter it's the same old BIS 1.8. But you have to wonder if it might be the first step in a transition.
