A couple of times a month 5-6 users stop receiving their email on their 7290's. This usually happens late at night, and I don't find out about it till the morning. When I look at the BES Manager, everything looks fine, but I can tell by looking at my Notes Server log that no messages have been delivered to certain users for hours. Checking their Notes inboxes, I can see messages there that didn't make it to their BBs. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you know why it happens and what can be done to prevent it from happening in the future? BTW, we're running Domino Server 6.5, BES 4.0. Some users are still running version 3.x of Desktop Manager and Handheld software, some are running 4.x. Would some of the BES monitoring programs (ie Boxtone, NeedText) catch this when it happens?
Restarting Domino (not just BES) seems to take care of this. I have also just recently learned that deleting and then undeleting the Desktop CMIME service book also corrects this. I'd be happier if it just didn't happen at all.
