After upgrading Desktop Manager to Version 4, 7100g gets recognized and responds as a standard modem. Have been getting nowhere with customer support at Cingular however to get the required services to my account. Still getting 734 error.

Most recently received the following from BB Support at Cingular:

"...As for using the device as a modem, you would need to add a "Laptop Connect" package to your account. The features mentioned in your email are no longer offered, so I am unable to add them to your account. The current laptop connect packages are as follows:

$24.99 10 MB $.006/KB
$34.99 20 MB $.004/KB
$44.99 50MB $.002/KB
$74.99 Unlimited N/A

You may reply to this email to let me know which package you would like added to your account."


Needless to say this is not the solution I had hoped for...

Anyone having any luck recently with the folks at Cingular on this subject?
