Yes its always on, doesn't turn off it has a standby time of 240 hours which is more than enough. I have tried the HS850 and all the other ones and honestly this has been the best. I have heard the cingular store guy actually sell the HS850 beceause they say it has a standby feature, technically there is no standby a device is on or off, it has quick boot time, a couple of seconds, and its always on. Whenever i disconnect it i can usualy connect back to the device by just clicking the call button.

I don't see that as being an issue, this has 8 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time, its worked out great! I haven't used it with a 7250 but i will use it with my 7100g tomorrow and post my thoughts. I have not had one crackling sound with it, most people actually ask if i am even outside or in the car. And its noise cancelation is nice. The mic picks up sounds way too easily and often i have to speak softly so the other person doesn't think i am yelling my head off!
