so this is where i think im stuck, it reads this after the query and i get error 633 - something like its not working properly or something else is using the port. can someone PLEASE help me. btw i have the zen theme installed on my 8700g if that matters at all.

Hi,
I also have an 8700g and couldn't get it to work until I blanked out the +cdgcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com" string from my Control Panel > Modem > Properties > Advanced "Extra initialization commands".
Try leaving that blank and then it should work!
If that doesn't work then...
you might want to be sure your Desktop Manager is the very latest version (as of today it's 4.1.1.19 - Feb 24 2006) - To download it, do a Google.com search for "Blackberry Desktop Manager" and you'll be able to find it. Get "Service Pack 1 (English)"
