The messages are probably actually appearing on your BB while they are in your inbox then moving away when your filter moves them. This is surprising since your BB doesn't know where the message went, it will usually stay on the BB.

You need to make your Terri folder a sub folder of your inbox. You will then be able to see it from your BB and the messages will stay in view.
