BG, I think you're dead-on. For those who *are* familiar with the device, and are willing to consider it, SureType is going to make or break the deal. I've got an 8700 now, and have heard good and bad about SureType, so I'd *like* to grab an 8100, but I'm not sure yet whether or not I will. I think most folks in the 25 and under age group would be best off with the LG F9100
