Until I can get better instructions, you may want to try Super C on the Sony 3GP setting. That worked for me in addition to the manual settings they explain in here. Here is the settings I used.

And here is an FLV video file I had converted! As a sample, it's not bad. At least I'm getting there in making things work.

Simply transfer it to your Pearl video folder. The video was choppy to begin with, it is not a problem with the conversion.
