With Nextel the speaker phone is very loud. Is there a way to access the api's associated with the speakerphone option and sending the ringtone through there?

I talked to Nextel and they confirmed what I thought (that the regular Nextel phones use the speaker to generate such a loud ringer) There has got to be a way for blackberries, especially ones with speakerphone to do the same thing.

I think I should have posted this in the Development Section, but I thought maybe someone who doesn't visit that section may be able to shed some light on this.
