so the only way myself or anyone else running .64 will be able to run BlackBerry Alerts is if the program is re-coded in some way to make it compatible with .64. The only thing that boggles my mind is that Logan says it works on the original T-Mo and Rogers OS's, something I can't confirm, but something that suggests there to be a big bug in the .64 release, or there has been some major update in the execution of Java code that is affecting BlackBerry Alerts' code.

Don't know what else to say other than I hope this can be remedied soon. I'd love to try the program, but cant!

There is definitely something whacko in .64 because Blackberry Alerts caused my phone to crash when I installed it after I upgraded to .64. There was no change in the BB Alerts code. I don’t know why RIM allows this kind of thing to happen.

All of this crashing had nothing to with BB Alerts. It was .64’s changes on the Pearl.

Anyway, in usual form, logan jumped on it and spent hours with me trying to iron out the problem. We finally got it to work again with .64.

Excellent program!
