This response able looks promising. Is the BT connection of the phone to a laptop the fastest throughput way to use a Pearl as a modem? What is the average data rate achieved? Is a USB connection faster? Is the set-up using an off the shelf Cingular 8100, does Cingular permit this or do they block this feature forcing us to use hacks and work-arounds?
Would really appreciate more detail on users who have succeeded to use the Standar Cingular Pearl as a modem.
