I have now upgraded to v4.2.0.64 and it does cure the green light problem. I also have a 2Gb microSD card and it works fine too. So if anyone is pondering the same issues I recommend the upgrade. It's a bit nerve wracking waiting for the Pearl to restart after loading the new OS though ! Have fun, Dave
