One can get over aggressive when applying the skins. I did when using a plastic card to squeegee the skin on the display area. Left some marks on the surface. It bothered me to the point I removed the display area skin and put a new one on it.

Such experience is why I recommend that people buy three sets of the BSE skins. Not only do you end up getting free shipping, but you have some extra skins for events like ours, where we screwed up the application.

I suspect you will end up buying some new skins if you are like me. I could only see the marks on the skin if the display was off and I held the Pearl in a certain angle, but it bugged me that it was not perfect. So I savagely ripped off the tainted skin and replaced it.
