Where else would you store them? There isn't anywhere else. Best thing to do is to store the email address in the contact info. That's what it's designed for. When you start typing the email address the address book will come up and narrow down as you type.

if i just go to compose a new email i just want an auto complete feature. i dont want to make a contact for every email addy i want to send an email for.
my old phone had this feature. it would finish the email when i began to type it.
oh well.
