I'm not being intentionally stoopid.. But why do I need this app?

I usually go 30-40 days between pulling the battery as my 8700g is rock stable.

Does this do anything a battery pull doesn't do? Without out pulling the battery that is..

Congrats to the author BTW. Anyone who releases a free app to any user population generates good karma for him/herself.
