For those of you who are having problems making the Pearl work as a modem, take note of the above.
Check, double check and then check again the settings, commands and entries as it is easy to make a mistake when typing the strings, etc.
Generally, if you get an "error" and "redial" message, there is something wrong on your end, not with the processes discussed herein.
