I was considering using the website to push the patch or OTA link via Blackberry browser but speaking with RIM last night they expect massive network traffic and are going to limit access to the website.

This is looking more like either you have 4.1 and can push the patches (RIM said there will be ONE per device model - I hope this kid was incorrect) or you will be visiting desktops to install the patch manually.

KB article 12016 went down last night and still is so I'm expecting the patch(s) later today / tomorrow.
