Hi folks,
First let me say a big Thank You to the people who have the time/knowledge and patience to figure these things out and then post them for all of us to use.
/SALUTE
Now on to my problem. I continue to get a 718 error, remote server took too long to respond or something to that nature. This ocurs after about 45 seconds of verifying the username/password. Now let me list a few things I have tried, in an effort to fix this error.
1. Reinstalled both the BB desktop manager and the Phone program, both downloaded from the TMO website.
2. Spoke with a level 3 BB/PDA specialist at TMO tech support, who after reinstalling/reconfiguring everything I had just done, suggested I play around with the APN string. After that advice he had nothing left to offer.
3. Took TMO's advice and played with a number of different APN strings to include ones that contained the "internet2.voicestream.com" option. This changed nothing.
4. Added the specific DNS settings, this also changed nothing.
For now I am at a loss and VERY frustrated, I switched from the IPAQ 6315 for the size and for the fact the Rep told me I could link it to my laptop as a modem and that TMO supported this. I made the mistake of telling my boss that I may have the ability to do this and he took the ball and ran with it. Now I/we are committed to sending daily reports with multimedia imbedded (mostly Power Point), to the Surgeon Generals Office. The ONLY option that allowed us to do this was using the BB as a modem on a laptop. So if anyone has any others suggestions that I haven't thought of, please let me know. I need to have this up and working by 0700 Sunday 17 April, 2005.
Thanks in advance.
