All email is pulled to the RIM servers and then pushed to your BB at regular intervals. If you can delete it from the server before RIM gets it, then it won't show up on the BB. Just deleting from your outlook account won't do it.

I am not even sure if you set Outlook to delete once downloaded will even stop them.
