I am having problems with ringtones as well. I thought that the exceptions in the profiles --> advanced options were for selective ringing/silencing as well, but it doesn't work that way.

My problem is that the selected custom ringtones aren't ringing every time a caller calls (once in a while it will work). And sometimes it will go to the general/default ringtone or other random ringtone (or previously selected one) and sometimes it will go to the T-Mo jingle or classic ring, neither of which are chosen for any of my contacts.

I have been on the phone with T-Mo numerous times for this issue and they have tried to fix the problem with resets, restores, application loaders, patches, etc., and I've even went to the store to exchange phones because they suggested it may be a hardware issue with the actual phone. But it still happens now.

I was on hold with RIM for over an hour last night waiting to speak to a rep, but I gave up and will try again at a less busy time.
