I see it on
www.cingular.com/blackberry on the right side saying "Free download" and it hasn't charged me yet (only used it once so far). From that link

Also those of you with 8800 that did not come with BB Maps, can't you download that from mobile.blackberry.com on your BB or from
BlackBerry - BlackBerry | BlackBerry Maps on your computer ?
