You don't have to take it apart.

At least, first, take the cover off and the battery out. Blow dry the heck out of it. Sit in the warm sun for several hours, or under a good sun lamp, etc. LEAVE it there for several hours.

Pick it up and look at it and be tempted to power it up and check it. BUT DON'T. Don't power it up AT ALL for several hours. Leave it under the warm sun or lamp a couple more hours. The electrical system and the water is what doesn't mix (along with your anxiety about getting it working again).

Read some comments in this thread... did a search on this board using the word "wet".
