....just noticed another little quirk about roaming though.... Cingular says "...You may not be able to place calls to international destinations other than United States while roaming in this country. Calls can be completed within the visited country and back to the United States...."

Is this pretty standard fare for roaming for most networks? Also, is the only way to get around this to grab a local carrier SIM in order to place calls locally in the visiting country?
